7 OAKS  MOUNTAIN   CABINS

7 Oaks Mountain Cabins was originally built in the late 1920's. It's purpose was to provide food and lodging to people making the two day trip to Big Bear via horse and buggy. 7 Oaks was the half-way point, so it was the perfect place for people to stop for the night.

Today, 7 Oaks is a half-hour drive to Big Bear. It is still the perfect place for people who want to enjoy nature in an isolated, quiet area. We are in the wilderness with deer, bobcat, bear, muskrats, and other wild animals as regular visitors to 7 Oaks.

7 Oaks is open during this time of reconstruction.

THE CABINS

The cabins are the original cabins built so many years ago. They maintain the characteristics of that era such as hardwood floors and deep mahogany panels, keyhole locks and paned windows, and large, clawfoot bathtubs.  

RESTORATION

Unfortunately, the cabins fell into disrepair over years of neglect. We are in the process of restoring the cabins to their original beauty, but we are not completely done.

What we have done -

All the cabins have brand new mattresses and box springs, new refrigerators and microwave ovens, and new hot water heaters. All shower stalls have been replaced. Most kitchens and bathrooms have been tiled.

What needs to be done -

Our current project is replacing windows and doors. Also, we are beginning the process of painting the outside of the buildings.
